As someone who loves to entertain and enjoys evenings with friends, we are looking forward to celebrating the kickoff of summer with a Memorial Day weekend barbecue!
Several weeks ago while we were back home in Texas savoring my fathers delightful smoked brisket, Philip decided it was time to purchase a smoker himself. It’s inevitable that every trip back home we must partake in the famous Texas barbecue. Now that we bought ourselves a smoker, it’s time to bring a little bit of Texas up to New Jersey!
After hosting several dinner parties, I’ve come to the conclusion it’s always easier to have everything our guest need out in the open prior to their arrival. By doing this, it always makes things easier and more inviting. One of my favorite trays to display in our kitchen is this rattan tray. It’s large enough to accommodate various items and the quality is also very durable.
I always keep my tray stocked with napkins, plates and several wine glasses. Now that summer is approaching plenty wine glasses are necessary for all the rosé! These melamine wine glasses are perfect for an outdoor gathering.
While I was at Target last weekend, I also stocked up on the most adorable striped paper plates and napkins. Not only did I find them in the famous “Bullseye’s Playground” (formally known as The One Spot), they are perfectly themed for a patriotic barbecue!
With barbecue season approaching, always make sure the meat is tender, the rosé is chilled, and your guests are ready for a good time.
What are you all up to for Memorial Day weekend? I hope everyone stays safe and enjoys time with friends!
