Margarita Monday

Even though fall is right around the corner, I’m still soaking up the last little bit of summer. With the end of August nearing, we are definitely enjoying our nights down the shore, food on the grill, and plenty of homemade cocktails.

This past weekend was filled with cooler temps which made our nights outdoors even more enjoyable. After a very long Saturday (gearing up for our wedding), we decided to stay in and it couldn’t have been more relaxing. We recently received this molcajete and decided to make homemade guacamole. Obviously my Texas roots are kicking in, homemade guacamole and fresh margaritas – yes please!

Fresh margaritas in these adorable pineapple glasses make for a very fun evening. Side note, while mixing these cocktails, Philip asked where’s the pre-made margarita mix. Let’s be honest.. us Texans prefer the fresh homemade ingredients, not the pre-made sugary mix.

All you need for these tasty margaritas –

1 oz fresh lime juice / 1.5 oz blanco tequila / .75oz Cointreau (orange liqueur) / .25 oz agave nectar / ice

Shake ingredients in your cocktail shaker and enjoy!
