We’ve been fortunate this weekend to have such chilly temperatures here in New Jersey. Although I’m sure we all broke out the fall wardrobes weeks ago, having weather to match those boots and scarves feels like it completes your outfit.
Before the rain started Saturday afternoon, we headed to a farmer’s stand near our home. We picked up our pumpkins (of course!) and lots of apples. In the past few years, we typically head to the local orchard for a fun filled day of apple picking. However, since we were expecting rain Saturday afternoon, we decided to make it quick and pick them up locally.
I wore these booties (similar here and on sale!) over the weekend along with this leopard clutch (of course, it’s leopard folks!). It was such a nice morning that we were able to browse the market without it being too crowded. Plus, this cardigan (similar here), was perfect for the cooler temperatures.
It never fails, every year I’m amazed by how many apples we pick. I keep telling myself, next year only pick a few because what does one do with so many apples?! In the past, I’ve made applesauce, an apple pie, but this year decided to mix it up. After scouring Pinterest, I saw a recipe for bacon wrapped apple pork chops. Let me tell ya’ll something, anything wrapped in bacon warms my heart. Bacon wrapped scallops? Yes, please! So, we decided to give it a go!
I’ll be sharing the recipe on here soon – but would love to hear of any other ideas for all these said apples!
