Happy Monday friends! Can you believe Valentine’s day is next week? For those of us who thought January flew by, we are almost halfway through February! Anyone else wish we could all just pause time for a few seconds?
Outfit Details: J. Crew Sweater (currently on sale, similar here and here) + AG Jeans (similar here, here, and here) + Lilly Pulitzer Chunky Necklace (similar here, here and here) + Pumps + J. Crew Camel Coat + YSL Lip Color (lip color #07)
Not only does February symbolize love, flowers, chocolates, and fancy meals out – in our home we enjoy creating positive affirmations in keeping with the theme of love. Whether it’s a written note, a spontaneous date night, a small gift, or an evening in – we encourage each other throughout the month in different ways to symbolize our love for each other.
Setting aside time to show each other how grateful and blessed we are strengthens our marriage and challenges us to find positivity, especially when we are surrounded by constant negativity in this world. It’s been such a fun tradition we started a few years ago and will continue to enjoy for many years to come!
Typically we enjoy an evening out for Valentine’s day and this year is no exception. We are heading to one of my favorite restaurants in the city! As the weather is still a bit chilly here in New Jersey, I’ll be bundled up wearing this sweater to keep me warm. I generally have a love – hate relationship with sweaters. I love the warmth and coziness when out walking around, but I dislike how warm I can get in them when I’m all bundled up. This sweater is lightweight enough so I don’t get too warm which is essential when all bundled up walking around the city.
What are some of traditions that you enjoy throughout your marriage? Would love to hear your favorites and I’m sure others would as well! Comment with them below –
