In today’s day and age, pictures seem to be worth a thousand words. I mean, across various social media platforms, people will scroll (sometimes for hours on end) scanning through image after image.  As our lives continue to get busier and busier (or so it seems) some do not have the time to sit and read an entire article.

Now, that’s not to say no one enjoys lengthy or detailed posts – it’s really just based on preference and how individuals choose to manage their time.

With that being said, photography is essential. One image can capture hundreds (maybe even thousands) of viewers. Of course this is depending on the audience you are trying to engage. Capturing such fascinating images can be a challenge, especially if you are new to the photography world.

Prior to my husband and I meeting, he had done quite a bit of traveling and always had a camera by his side. He has captured some scenic images from Europe, the Caribbean and right here at home across the United States.

Before our wedding, I bought him a new DSLR camera for him to use on our honeymoon in Bora Bora; he was able to take some very nice photos that I have since framed in our house. Since I’ve begun blogging, we both have been watching videos online (and reading numerous articles) to fully understand the different functions on the camera and shooting in manual mode.

I mean, isn’t this just gorgeous?!

While he has a knack for capturing beautiful scenery, we could improve on shooting in a portrait setting.

How gorgeous is that shot in Bora Bora?! We finally upgraded our camera recently, and it’s amazing how much nicer and crisp my photos are but it would definitely be great to learn more about how to shoot in each mode. So much to learn <3
